● Incorporated in 2001 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the State of NH. ● Started operations in November 2003. ● More than 400 volunteers and 12 congregations participate, donating more than 10,000 hours per year. ● Hosting congregations are located in Brentwood, Exeter, Greenland, Hampton, North Hampton, Portsmouth, and Stratham,. ● Can house a maximum of 5 homeless families or 14 individuals at a time. ● Served 47 homeless families (137 children and adults) in 4 years. ● 60% of SIHN guests have been children under the age of 18. ● In 2007, ̃ SIHN provided overnight shelter in the amount of 3,790 bed-nights (74% of capacity) and served 11,370 meals. ̃ 60% of the guests were children. ̃ 47% of SIHN guests were children under the age of 5. ̃ 93% of SIHN guests were from Rockingham or Strafford County. ̃ 91% of SIHN guests secured permanent or transitional housing at their exit from Seacoast IHN. ̃ 43% of our guests secured employment while in our program. ̃ The average length of stay at the network was 90 days. ● Annual budget for FY2008 is $140,000 covering Day Center operations, full-time director, part-time family counselor, volunteer coordination, and administrative costs. ● Over $300,000 worth of goods and services (meals, lodging, labor) are donated to SIHN annually by participating congregations and volunteers. ● Affiliate of Family Promise, a national organization with 125 Affiliate Networks operating in 38 states and the District of Columbia. ● Family Promise celebrates 20th anniversary year in 2008. ● More than 5,000 congregations participate in Family Promise programs. ● More than 110,000 volunteers are involved in IHN programs nationally. ● Family Promise programs have assisted more than 200,000 guests nationally. ● In 2008 Family Promise will open an additional 8 programs, bringing the national total to 150 by year-end. |
